Operates the power boiler, recovery boiler, turbine, water treatment, effluent treatment and lime kiln, and runs the maintenance and reliability function that keeps pressure equipment, rotating machinery and electrical systems safe and available.

- Operate boilers and the turbine within licensed limits
- Run raw water, boiler feedwater and effluent treatment
- Operate the chemical recovery loop and lime kiln
- Plan and execute preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Manage pressure equipment inspection and registration

Anke is a mechanical engineer who manages the boilers, turbine, water systems, chemical recovery and the maintenance planners, and joined the mill six years ago.
Deepak Rao
Deepak holds a boiler operator licence, runs the power boiler and feedwater plant on B panel and has been at Riverside for seven years.

Permit to Work Register
The register of every permit raised for hot work, confined space entry, heights, containment breaks and electrical work, with isolations and status.
Environmental Discharge and Emissions Log
The shift record of effluent and stack monitoring results against licence limits, with any exceedance and the action taken.
